Flash forward 8 months later and an obviously traumatized Ovi is back at school, trying to reacclimate after everything he's been through. That creates tension as you're watching the film because you know where it's going," said Russo.

"We show you at the beginning that he's hit by a sniper by a potentially fatal shot, so the whole movie you're watching to see if Rake is going to survive the film or not. While we don't see Tyler's last breaths, it sure looks like a fatal injury, and we see Tyler fall off a bridge and into the water as Ovi is hauled to safety by Tyler's ally, Nik (Golshifteh Farahani). The plot mostly unfolds the way you'd expect it to (with a few devious detours), right up until the ending, which sees Tyler managing to get Ovi to safety before he's shot in the neck and seemingly killed by Farhad (Suraj Rikame), a vengeful young criminal Tyler had earlier given a gentle beatdown - a callback to the opening scene of the movie. I'm just glad I had some place to vent and talk about it since I just watched it alone and no one I know has seen it yet, haha.Play What does the ending of Extraction mean?Extraction is an adrenaline-fueled sprint of a movie with a fairly straightforward premise: An emotionally-scarred mercenary with a delightfully action-hero name (Tyler Rake, played by Hemsworth) is tasked with "extracting" young hostage Ovi (Rudhraksh Jaiswal) from a hostile city in which everyone, from gangs of street kids to the cops and military, is out to kill him. Last question for others or you: Did you think the old timer neighbor would have known shit was fucked when he got the call about the money and then would have somehow been the one to say the fucking day, lol? I almost expected it. Is that what you fuckers fear most? Well, here's Johnny. Or would they cut him a deal? The second they were like "we can't let this be a media shitshow" I would have made it clear you can't fucking stop me from making it a show show unless such and such. We have to pray to God Jorge makes it alive and decides to keep being a bro even though it likely means he is screwed for doing so.

There are witnesses who are going to fuck him over deeeeeeeep.

Is he off scot free or is he going to be facing some sort of time or serious international incident crap going down. In the end of the movie, what do you think is going to come of the murders that took place and all of the other shitstorm that went down. The shit early on with lawnmower engine fix and the "its just like a lawnmower" were almost too god damn much to handle I love when you think you know something is going to suck and it catches you off guard. You can always kill yourself and let your family eat you and drink your blood. Lay out all you can for condensation to collect on. It won't be super powerful but its infinitely better than fucking nothing. Empty the god damn gasoline out of the extra tank and make a small still. You can also use that fire for signal and for warmth and comfort and morale and to help distill some water. It might not be enough to start the boat but its enough for a spark and failing that you have a bunch of other ways to try before giving up. You have all you need and more with the engine and the battery. I just watched it and I totally agree he should have definitely brought supplies and planned better, but failing that, at least get a god damn fire going. Who goes out that far on a rented boat, from a stranger, while on vacation in another country. I'm wondering if it will end up a sleeper hit?ĬONS: Some of the decision making processes that drive the plot in the beginning are terrible. Sets the viewer up for something, then delivers completely different.

Being "predictable" seems to be an asset for this movie.

IMDB has this listed as "Action, Adventure, Crime", I would describe it as a more of a Thriller myself. Fairly predicable when I began watching it, and it carries like that for a while. I don't want to ruin it for anyone so I'll just say this: Plot starts out like it doesn't hold a lot of promise. When a Caribbean family vacation takes a disastrous turn, a father finds himself at the mercy of a cold-blooded fisherman, and a desperate race against the clock to save his wife and son. I'm linking the trailer but it ruins the movie - so watch it at your own risk.
